Preamble
ACTA ARCHAEOLOGICA is founded as an independent non-profit society based on volunteering. The purpose of the society is to continue the non-profit publication of the journal Acta Archaeologica and to support other related activities. The journal Acta Archaeologica was established in 1930, and the self-governing society ACTA ARCHAEOLOGICA must continue to operate according to the scientific goals and subjects described in the journal’s volume 87, 2016 and on the website of the current publisher Brill, which publishes the journal.
The basis for the self-governing society ACTA ARCHAEOLOGICA is the trademark “Acta Archaeologica”, donated to the society by Dr Inga Merkyte, widow of Professor Dr Phil. Klavs Randsborg, who previously owned the rights to the trademark.
