CENTRE OF WORLD ARCHAEOLOGY (CWA)

CENTRE OF WORLD ARCHAEOLOGY (CWA) is an umbrella organization for a series of archaeological field activities, studies and initiatives worldwide, founded by Prof. Klavs Randsborg. 

Current activities include research and communication projects in West Africa, Brazil, Kazakhstan and the Balkans. 

CWA provides services in: 

• • geophysical prospection & terrain mapping
  • microarchaeology (materials analysis incl. FTIR, chemical analysis of sediments, supplemented with identification and quantification of phytoliths and non-pollen palynomorphs) 
  • investigation of residues produced by iron production 
  • consultations regarding research strategies and methods 

Research output is usually mediated through Acta Archaeologica.
